Yvette studied Graphic Design through TAFE, Sydney NSW. She worked as a book designer for the Paul Hamlyn Group, before moving to Gunnedah in North Western NSW. Between 1989-91, she studied painting and drawing through the Tamworth campus of TAFE, attaining distinctions in each subject. Pastels, oils and coloured pencils are the media of choice. She is inspired by the local environment and her pastel paintings are distinguished by muted skies and soft grasses.

Her still life compositions are uncluttered, with strong lines, shape and colour.Yvette is a member of the Pastel Society of Australia and the Australian Coloured Pencil Artists. Her work is represented in private collections in Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland and Japan. She has had an article published in The Australian Artist magazine in April 2004 titled ‘The Delicate Beauty of the Linear Stroke’. She has recently relocated to Wingham, in the Manning Valley NSW.
