The Pastel Portrait
Portrait work demands a quick grasp of gesture, shape, and proportion – these are the keys to capturing the character of an individual portrait subject. In this workshop we will develop a single finished portrait by sequentially working through the critical components of composition, gesture, shape, structure and colour. Participants will work in charcoal and pastel from the live model. All levels are welcome.
